Location: Miramar, FL
Duration: 1 year
Job Type: Contract

Citizenship / Work Authorization: Must be US Citizen or Perm Resident Only

Scope of work:

·         Provide direction and influence solutions and architectural approach for a
     i) High volume Reservation applications including multiple systems integration
    ii) Service oriented architecture on J2EE spring based platform

·         Create/review design specifications and UML based models

·         Create estimate, detail work plans and design solutions

·         Develop/review J2EE based architecturally significant core components

·         Perform performance tuning and designing load tests

·         Investigate and resolve reported defects

·         Mentor and provide technical leadership for team and own project solutions and deliveries

·         Tool savvy to reduce development and troubleshooting efforts

·         Open source technology

·         Services testing methodology experience

Required skills/competencies:

·       Software development (10 years)

·       Object oriented systems (7 years)

·       Web Services/REST services development

·       Experience with the technologies as follows:

a.    Spring

b.    Java (JEE)

c.     Jason, Ajax, JQuery

d.    JSP, JSTL, Tiles

e.    Rational Application Developer

f.     XML, XSL

g.    TSQL (Microsoft SQL server), JDBC

h.    Object Oriented Analysis and Design

i.      Unix

j.     SOA

·       Database design and development experience with SQL and mainstream relational database engines such as Oracle and SQL Server

·       Development experience with networking protocols (HTTP, TCP/IP, SSL, SMTP, etc.)

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Education:

·         BS or MS in Computer science or Math
